The Evan’s Home Transformation – Oxford, MI

At The Exterior Zone, our dedication to quality and craftsmanship shines through in every project we undertake. The Evan’s Home Transformation is a prime example of how we breathe new life into homes while significantly enhancing their durability against harsh elements.

Project Overview

This full-scale exterior renovation was not just about aesthetics; it involved meticulous preparation and detailed workmanship to fortify the home’s structure and appearance. Here’s how we transformed the Evan’s residence:

Scope of Work

Trim Removal & Surface Preparation: We meticulously removed all existing wood trim, ensuring the home’s T1-11 siding remained intact. All surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the installation of new siding.
Structural Integrity: Addressing any damaged or rotted sheathing, we replaced necessary sections to ensure the home’s structure was sound, followed by re-nailing all T1-11 panels.
Custom Details: The project featured the custom bending and installation of .032 Aluminum Flashing, ensuring a seamless and watertight finish around critical areas.
Siding Excellence: We applied HardieWrap Vapor Barrier to all walls, secured 1/4″ FanFold for added insulation, and installed James Hardie Board and Batten Siding in a striking Arctic White finish. The trim, featuring HardieTrim® Batten Boards and PVC Skirt Boards, added a distinctive, durable finish that promises long-lasting beauty.
Custom Gable Bracket: A highlight of the renovation was the installation of a custom cedar gable bracket, crafted from 4×6 Roughsawn Cedar Timber in a natural stain, adding a unique architectural touch to the home’s front gable.

Conclusion

The comprehensive approach of The Evan’s Home Transformation not only elevated the home’s aesthetic but also its resilience. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional exterior renovations that meet the unique needs and exceed the expectations of our clients.
