Hubbard Exterior Renovation — Lake Orion, MI

Bob and Kim Hubbard were already working with The Exterior Zone on a full roofing project when they reached out to address additional concerns at their Lake Orion home. Their existing front entry door was builder-grade with single-pane sidelites, offering poor insulation and performance. Over time, they had also dealt with recurring wood rot, aging trim, ventilation limitations, and exterior elements that required frequent maintenance.
They wanted a long-term solution—one that improved performance, durability, and appearance—without cutting corners. Our team developed a phased renovation plan that addressed structural concerns first, followed by aesthetic and efficiency upgrades.

  • Aging shingle roof with granule loss and underlying deck concerns
  • Builder-grade front door with single-pane sidelites and air leakage
  • Repeated wood repairs to fascia, soffit, and trim
  • Limited attic ventilation and insulation inefficiencies
  • Worn shutters and dated exterior details

The completed renovation transformed the Hubbard home into a cohesive, high-performance exterior. The new roof and ventilation system work together to protect the structure, while the upgraded insulation improves year-round comfort. Architectural details—like the stained shutters, cedar porch posts, and custom front entry—add warmth and character, all supported by materials chosen for longevity and low maintenance.
This project reflects what happens when thoughtful planning, skilled execution, and clear communication come together.

A durable, energy-efficient, and visually refined exterior—built to perform and designed to last.
