1. Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers defects in workmanship directly associated with the repair work performed by The Exterior Zone at the property outlined in the agreed proposal. If any issues arise due to improper workmanship during the warranty period, The Exterior Zone will repair or replace the affected area at no additional cost to the client.
2. Warranty Period
The Exterior Zone provides a workmanship warranty that matches the duration of the product’s manufacturer warranty.
3. Conditions of Coverage
This warranty is valid only under the following conditions:
- The issue must be reported to The Exterior Zone by email, mail, or phone, with confirmation of receipt by The Exterior Zone, within 5 days of discovery.
- The repair was performed by The Exterior Zone and fully paid for by the client.
- The property has not been altered, modified, or repaired by a third party in a way that impacts the original repair.
4. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from natural events such as storms, floods, earthquakes, or extreme weather conditions.
- Damage due to neglect, improper maintenance, or misuse by the property owner or others.
- Normal wear and tear appropriate to the property’s age and typical use.
- Consequential or incidental damages to personal property or belongings.
- Defects in materials used for the repair (material warranties are provided by the manufacturer).
- Persistent issues in areas where additional work is required beyond the initial proposal scope, provided the initial work was completed without defects in workmanship. (See “Diagnostic Limitations” in Section 6 for more details.)
5. Material Warranty
Material warranties are determined by the manufacturer and may include limitations on labor coverage. Refer to the manufacturer’s warranty for specifics on labor coverage in the event of product failure.
6. Diagnostic Limitations
Our diagnostic services are conducted to identify the root cause of visible or reported issues. While we rely on our expertise and the information available during inspection, certain conditions—such as hidden damage or evolving issues—may not be immediately identifiable.
Solutions provided based on our diagnostics are covered under our workmanship warranty for the specified warranty period.
- If additional work is necessary to address issues not identified in the initial diagnostic process or unrelated to the completed work, this will not be covered under this warranty and may incur additional charges.
- If unforeseen or hidden conditions prevent the initial solution from fully resolving the issue, this does not entitle the client to a refund for the completed work.
7. Claims Process
To file a claim, the property owner must:
- Contact The Exterior Zone at (248) 242-2222, support@exterior.zone, or 650 S. Lapeer Rd., Oxford, MI 48371.
- Provide a detailed description of the issue, including photos if available.
- Allow reasonable access to the property for inspection and necessary repairs.
