The Exterior Zone was entrusted with a comprehensive exterior renovation for the Lott’s business residence in Lapeer, MI. This project reflects our commitment to quality and precision as we revitalized the structure, enhancing its durability and professional appearance.
Scope of Work
- Siding Removal & Preparation:
- Removed all existing siding trim from the entire building.
- Cleared all surfaces of debris, preparing them for the installation of new siding.
- Replaced damaged and rotted sheathing with 7/16 OSB, as well as 1×4 trim and fascia as needed.
- Siding and Trim Installation:
- Applied HardieWrap Vapor Barrier to the walls and secured 1/4″ FanFold insulation to enhance energy efficiency and provide a smooth installation surface.
- Installed HardiePlank® Lap Siding in a clean and modern finish, accompanied by HardieTrim® BOARDS for windows, doors, eaves, and corners, ensuring a polished and durable look.
- Sealed all trims to the siding with Terpolymer Rubberized Sealant for long-lasting protection.
- Custom Details:
- Custom bent and installed .024 aluminum flashing in critical areas to ensure waterproofing.
- Added PVC baseboards around the perimeter, providing both protection and aesthetic appeal.
- Boral Stone Installation:
- Installed Boral Stone around the two main entry doors and between the front windows, enhancing the facade with a classic, stone look.
- Filled the areas between the front window squares and extended the stonework to the soffit, creating a cohesive and visually striking exterior.
