VanDellen Siding & Trim Renovation – Oxford, MI

When the VanDellens reached out to The Exterior Zone, their Oxford home—originally re-sided over a decade ago—was showing signs of weather-related deterioration. The cedar trim surrounding their windows had begun to rot, the cedar shakes were curling, and several upper-elevation boards had started to fail. After researching James Hardie products on our website, the VanDellens invited us to evaluate the condition of their home and develop a long-term, low-maintenance solution.
Our team designed a complete exterior restoration using James Hardie fiber-cement siding and trim, blending durability with timeless curb appeal. The result: a beautifully refreshed home exterior in Boothbay Blue and Arctic White, built to perform for decades.

Original cedar shake siding and rough-sawn cedar trim were visibly rotted and curling
Failing sealant and weather exposure around dormer and cupola details
Multiple elevations required sheathing inspection and selective replacement
